Castiglione

The ancient Roman settlement of Selebrun grew up over an area that stretches from the hills to the sea beneath the Bay of Follonica.

Today it is a delightful fishing town surrounded by a splendid pine wood. An Aragonese fortress built between the 14th–15th-c. towers over the harbour and adds to the appeal of this famous and well- equipped seaside town.

A ring of ancient walls and medieval towers gives the town centre a magical air of history.
